Everybody has a book inside them.  How many times have you heard – or said – ‘I could write a book’ ?

It’s easier than you thought, with the Lichfield Press alongside you every step of the way – or merely for the final few steps.

  Here’s how it happens :

YOU write your novel or your family history for the children or grandchildren ; you take those poems out of the drawer where they have lurked for years and you send the manuscript by e-mail to thelichfieldpress@gmail.com. You calculate how many copies you can sell or give as birthday or Christmas presents (cheaper and more welcome than the usual box of chocolates).

WE read the manuscript and give you an estimate of the cost for the number of copies you have guessed within a few days ; we, with your agreement, correct spelling and punctuation and suggest changes if necessary ; we set the text and prepare it for printing ; we get the books delivered to your door; we provide your book with an ISBN (International Standard Book Number) assuring its availability worldwide and helping to protect your copyright.

You receive the books and send five copies at your expense to the British Library and the Legal Deposit Libraries. You sell or distribute the rest as you wish, making all your aunts and cousins happy.

NOTE : You may order as many or as few copies as you wish. After the initial order, the unit price remains the same  plus the printer’s handling charge, plus carriage
